Biography
Car Pets is an indie-rock band from Utrecht with a quirky sound in which multiple genres can be recognized, from an '80s-like Ariel Pink' sound to 'Parquet Courts' rock and energetic bursts like 'LCD soundsystem'. The band consists of Niek Pronk (vocals & guitar), Paul Rijnbeek (bass & keys) and Tijmen Ruizendaal (drums). On March 2, their album Patio will be presented to the public for the first time in dB's in Utrecht. The album was recorded last summer with producer Simon Akkermans in his EpicRainbowUnicornStudio in Kytopia in Utrecht. The singles 'Directed' and ‘Concrete Corner’ are a preview of what we can expect in 2019.
