Biography
The Cardiac Kidz were a Southern Califonia Punk band had it's hey days in the late 70's and early 80's. They were the first punk band to make a TV appearance in San Diego 1978 appearing on San Diego's KMFB TV show "Sun Up San Diego" and were played on San Diego main stream radio stations of the time such as KGB, KPRI and 91X along with local college radio stations like SDSU's KPBS. Articles on the Cardiac Kidz appeared in the Local Union Tribune newspaper, Kicks Magazine, and the Reader. The band released two vinyl records a 7" 45 and an 7" EP. 20 years later 1999 Lub-Dub records released a rare 20th anniversary CD with the full live Spirit Night club show and unreleased studio recordings. The Cardiac Kidz are featured on two Killed by Death compilation albums which seemed to solidfy thier place in the historic annuals of the history of US Punk Rock. Thy just recently granted a rare interview to San Francisco's Maxium Rock'n Roll magazine. The boys are one of the west cost founding fathers of US punk and part of the foundation of US post punk and alternative music.
