Cardio Kazan is an alternative rock/post-hardcore band from San Diego, California, United States and Tijuana, Mexico.
The band is composed by musicians from both sides of the border, San Diego/Tijuana, which has allowed their music to reach a greater audience. The band was formed in 2009 and the following year released their first EP entitled, 'Maybe This Will Start the Fire', which set the sound and style that Cardio Kazan was striving for.
The different influences that vary from Hardcore to Pop were captured in the essence of this EP. In 2011, the band released their second EP, 'Ultraviolet Suspension', which shows a more aggressive sound, yet melodic and complex. “Ultraviolet Suspension”, also allowed the band to embark on their first tour.
Cardio Kazan has been able to establish themselves as a prominent talent in the local scene capturing the attention of audiences not familiar to this music genre. 'The Baralax' is the band's first length album, which offers a more complex and technical music, but keeping their original sound as the foundation of this album.
