Sayso Says is che’s first studio album.
On February 16, 2024 che posted on his Instagram story saying he’s, “Not done” after the release of his popular single, Bae, hinting at the release of something major. His singles and snippet previews leading up to the album suggested what was to come with the album.
Throughout this period che would show several snippets like GET NAKED and YDFWMNM?, eluding to the fact che would self-produce a lot of this album, with the help of frequent collaborator natecxo on many tracks.
It wasn’t until May 22, 2024 when che would announce the album as Sayso Says and would release his next single, Pizza Time a week later. che would preview two songs through streamer Young Dabo in July, being ENJOY YOUR LIFE & Children Shouldn’t Play With Dead Things, giving a larger hint at che’s evolution since his last EP, Crueger.
On August 15, 2024, che would release a teaser skit video on his YouTube channel, sayso says, featuring social media influencer David Swegg, confirming the album’s release in August.
On August 24, 2024, che announced the official release of the album to be August 30, 2024 on massive streamer plaqueboymax’s livestream.
On August 26, 2024, che’s label would leak the album for several minutes prematurely to the album’s release. Fans would keep quiet and ultimately che would still release the tape on August 30, 2024.
