Biography
Named after a favorite beverage, former the downstairs frontman Erik Planer formed Cheap Fine with friend William Fish Fishman in May of 2003 in Portland, OR, culminating in a local show at the Hart in April of 2004.
Fish passed away unexpectedly in the fall of 2004 and the Cheap Fine EP began production in 2006 with the help of Fish's sister, Identity Crisis (PDX) lead singer Rachel Fishman. Completed in the spring of 2008 at Willbridge Studios the songs are built around Fish's original acoustic guitar tracks, Sante Fe and Month of May are dedicated in loving memory to William Fish Fishman.
