Chinese detectives was a norwegian cover-band who did covers on (mostly) electronic acts from the '80s, like Yazoo, Men without hats, Bronski beat and Divine, but also on other artists like Sparks and Robert Palmer. They released a few singles and a full-length album (called "Are kisses out of fashion?") in the late '90s, but the last five years there has been no signs from the group. The group concisted of members Preben Bjonnes, Desiree Grandahl and Per Aksel Lundgreen. Bjonnes and Grandahl also had the group Posh together, and Lundgreen is a former member of Apoptygma Berzerk.
Chinese detectives had a well-earned reputation of very good, high-energy live gigs with a very loyal audience.
