Nine sili nebesniye is a freely composed setting of the Cherubic Hymn for the Lenten Liturgy of Pre-Sanctified Gifts in the Russian Orthodox tradition. It is sung by an all male chorus in Church Slavonic in this very powerful example.
The lyrics are as follows, Slavonic / English:
Nine sili nebsniya s nami nevidimo sluzhat / Now the Powers of Heaven do serve invisibly with us //
se bo fhodit Tsar slavi / lo, the King of Glory enters. //
se, zhertva taynaya sovershena dorinositsia / Lo, the mystical sacrifice is upborne, fulfilled. //
Veroyu i liuboviyu pristupim / Let us draw near in faith and love //
da prichasnitsi ahini vechniya budem / and become communicants of life eternal. //
