Biography

Chris Chasse is an American musician who grew up in Amesbury, Massachusetts. He played guitar in Boston hardcore band, Reach The Sky. When Reach The Sky parted ways, Chris moved to Los Angeles. Then, In 2004, Rise Against parted ways with their former guitarist (Todd Mohney) and recruited Chris Chasse. Chris moved from LA to Chicago in February 2004. Almost immediately after the band obtained their new guitarist, they began recording their Dreamworks debut, Siren Song of the Counter Culture. In that time, Chasse help write roughly 20 songs for the production of their latest record, and also was taught previous songs from the past two records. He had been interested in the band long before they gained any respect among punkers. In March 2006, Rise Against recorded their second album with Chasse, The Sufferer and the Witness. It was released July 4th 2006 and it debut on #10 on billboard charts.

Chasse left the group in February 2007. He has since gone on to form the bands Last of the Believers, and Nations Afire.
