Since her previous ‘Out of Towners’ EP, Clara Bond has spent much time on the live circuit, including supporting Lindsay Ell, Joey Landreth, Wildwood Kin’s UK tour and a spot on the Country 2 Country festival – a slot that lead to a nomination for ‘Female Vocalist of the Year’ in the British Country Music Awards. She then went on to support Newton Faulkner and to film an ‘Under the Apple Tree’ session with Radio 2’s Whispering Bob Harris, which he called “One of my favourite Under the Apple Tree session performances ”.
These slots enabled Clara to develop her skills, both as a creator and craftsman of music, and as a captivating live performer – skills that she has brought into the latest project. However, Clara is not an artist that can be pigeon-holed into one genre and is an artist with broad appeal, having been asked by BBC Introducing to record and film a full-band live session series for the entire ‘Out of Towners’ EP, she has taken an increasingly broad approach to the genre with the new release.
