There are multiple bands with this name.
1) Contend are a vegan straight edge band fron Reno, Nevada. United States. The band members are aiming to promote the spread of revolutionary ideals including, but not limited to, anarchism, feminism, direct action, veganism and radical sobriety. They believe that the punk/ hardcore subculture is an excellent platform for sharing ideas and creating a sense of community. Hopefully Contend will effect many changes in our current infrastructure by invoking critical thought of the privileged and oppressive worldview that is, unfortunately, the social norm.
2) Contend are a hardcore band from Omaha, Nebraska.
