Corbyn Besson is a 25-year old musician, singer, and songwriter from Northern Virginia. He is currently a member of boy band Why Don't We signed to Atlantic Records.
Corbyn received his first guitar when he was 12 years old. Since then, he has continued to hone his craft with a smooth and crisp playing style. He is inspired by artists such as Jake Miller, Shawn Mendes, Justin Bieber, and Ed Sheeran and has begun to establish his own sound and musical identity. His vocals are raw and soulful with a unique tone that crosses traditional music boundaries with a blend of pop, jazz, and soul. While he has created cover songs of popular hits, his unique style and abilities are most notable in the heartfelt lyrical arrangements of his original compositions.
In the summer of 2014, Corbyn joined the popular broadcasting platform YouNow. Within 4 short months he accumulated nearly 15,000 fans. Their loyalty helped him “trend”, become “featured” on the site, and led to his selection as “Editor’s Choice” for top talent in the Musicians category. His dedication and personality have grown his fan base to over 135,000 loyal followers and continues to grow daily.
Corbyn also uses YouTube and SoundCloud to showcase his talent and personality with a combined total of 150,000 views. His cover of First Flight Home by Jake Miller has received over 50,000 plays on SoundCloud. Jake Miller himself posted on Twitter “Love it bro, great job”.
Aside from his live YouNow broadcasts and his SoundCloud and YouTube posts, Corbyn appreciates the importance of communicating with fans using a variety of social media. He regularly engages with his fan base on Instagram and Twitter.
