Cosmic Jaguar music is about
Connecting with the stars. The space between the light of the stars. The spheres. The transducence of Divinity into materiality. Sacred Harmony. Bringing people into their emotional state to inspire them to be better, to inspire them to lift up, to inspire them to be more than they thought they could be.
This is the Intention behind the music. This is the Spirit behind the music.
Carlos and Laura Cedillo are the Violet Flame, we are the triad - he is red, she is blue- it forms the Violet color of the Flame, which is the third part of us, the triad, the relationship. We have a sacred soul contract to practice the Violet Flame using the sacred purple flame to burn up karma. We started Violet Flame Records in 2009 and released two CDs by our band Cosmicjaguar Eclipse music vol.I and Daykeeper
Cosmic Jaguar is a unique electronic music band into the art of sound-sculpting based on the spiritual vibrational energy of the Sacred Mayan Calendar known as the Tzolkin. Each composition is named after the day it was created.
Cosmicjaguar is a husband and wife team of Carlos and Laura Cedillo. Carlos is a multi-talented composer and artist as well as a Mayan calendar Daykeeper shaman. Carlos plays, electric guitar, bass guitar, Theremin, percussion and electronic keyboard. Carlos specializes in his keyboard mastery with Ableton software. Carlos really shines as a musical genius with Cosmicjaguar when using unlimited sound effects in reversing and warping instruments while mixing exotic percussion and cosmic tones. Laura performs on the music with percussion, flutes and ocarinas as well as an Akai EWI, electronic wind instrument.
We need to vibrate high for the big Shift in energy that is taking place in the Universe now and until the year 2012, as said in The Chilam Balam, (Jaguar Prophecies) of the Maya. It is important that we all be prepared for 2012, in order to take advantage of the positive energy and planes of existence that are happening so we can be in harmony with that energy. You will learn to burn off that negativity and karma and transform your life.
Carlos Cedillo
Composer and musician of Cosmicjaguar, Carlos studied music composition and classical guitar UT/Austin. He also studied jazz and electronic music composition at Texas State University. In 2002-03 he worked as an intern for film and TV composers Nathan Wang and Gary Chase in South Pasadena, California. Mayan Shaman and DayKeeper, Author of the book, Cosmicjaguar's Soul Kin Journal, and artist Carlos has made many journeys to sacred Mayan Temples in Mexico and Guatemala. We have been on sacred journeys to Guatemala with Don Alejandro Oxlaj who is the highest Shaman Priest of the Maya. Hosted workshops with Mayan Calendar expert and author Dr. Carl Calleman.
Laura Cedillo
President of Violet Flame Records and Executive Producer of Cosmicjaguar, UT/Austin Graduate School of Theology Chaplain, Master Reiki Healer III, musician-35 years. She worked as the publisher of local and international magazines for 15 years. Laura started studying classical flute and Oboe 35 years ago. Her artwork is abstract with brightly colored mosaics of alchemist vibrations.
