Biography
Counterexpressive is a band. Hopefully you agree. Its members met and grew up in Dallas, Texas. They started playing "music" together in 2018 doing covers of songs that 36 year olds really like. Counterexpressive consists of William R. Jones (Vocals/Guitars), Caden Large (Guitars), Ben Sherman (Drums/Pianos), and Luke Williams (Bass). They wanted to make their own music. They did. Its out now. Recorded in multiple states, at numerous locations, using a $14 microphone over the span of nearly an entire year, Songs for Austin is the debut release from Counterexpressive. Each song on the record attempts a different style, from shoegaze-influenced pop-punk to 90s indebted slowcore and indie folk. Counterexpressive wanted to have fun with this and strongly feel that no matter your persuasion, you'll find something to enjoy on here. Thanks for reading.
