Crooked Mouth is the name of two projects, the first a Scottish musician from Edinburgh and the second a Canadian musician from Victoria, BC. Both projects' names are originate from their shared surnames. The surname "Campbell" is of Scottish origin, and is the combination of two Gaelic words "cam", meaning 'crooked', and "beul" which means 'mouth'. Together the name translates to Crooked Mouth.

1. Crooked Mouth is the studio project of Edinburgh-based guitarist /songwriter Ken Campbell. When this sad old strummer gets together with a select & talented bunch of musos & warblers strange sounds can be heard. Sometime around 2003 these sounds were captured on their debut "Crooked Mouth". The follower "Hold In The Sun" was released in 2007. A new album is in progress for release somewhere in 2010. 2. Crooked Mouth is the acoustic folk project of originally Victoria, B.C. based musician Ian Campbell, former member of the atavistic black metal band Harrow. Campbell uses a wide variety of traditional and hand-made instruments to produce folk songs with themes of family, history, nature, nostalgia, traditionalism and spirituality alongside some classic Scottish folk songs. As of 2022, he relocated to Vilnius, Lithuania and enlarged the project to a full band. His works can be found on his Bandcamp page: http://www.crookedmouthcampbell.bandcamp.com
