Cybernetika is Lars Goossens, born March 30, 1986, a music addict from Cologne, Germany, who has been infected with music from the earliest ages on. As a child, he spent 6 years studying classical piano. He then went on and discovered Metal and Industrial

In 2003, his musical spectrum expanded listening to Goa and Psytrance, a music that took him on many journeys. He instantly fell in love with this trippy style of music.

In the same year, he decided to found his creative platform Cybernetika and started producing some Breakbeat and Acid tracks until his music became more and more filled with Goa and Psy elements.
In 2005, he released his first album "Paralysis" online for free download. It featured atmospheric, multilayered Goa, but he soon moved to another style or sub-genre of Psychedelic: Dark Psy. In 2006, He released his second full length release online, called "Promo #1 2006" featuring dark, melodic, yet atmospheric Psytrance.
He describes his style as "Sci-Fi music" because he is fascinated a lot by Science-Fiction in literature and movies and it inspired the soundscapes in Cybernetika's music a lot.

2007 release Neural Network Expansion has been another voyage into the realms of darkpsy/darker sounding psy, while his 2008 output Nanospheric has been an excellent psytrance release, which got lots of attention in the psytrance scene. Website ektoplazm.com webmaster, Basilisk, recommended it as one of the best albums of 2008. Best of all, it's also available for free at www.ektoplazm.com. The year 2009 already saw the next release by Goossens, this time in another, almost entirely different musical genre. Atropos is another concept album, this time offering a mixture of Drum&Bass and psytrance, which blend perfectly and create a unique and distinct sound. This album is also available for free at ektoplazm.com

Late in 2010, on December 14th, Cybernetika released his sixth album, called The Scythe Of Orion, again downloadable as Free Music through the netlabel www.ektoplazm.com. The album marked a return to Psychedelic Trance, although it is difficult to label its musical genre, as Goossens still incorporates elements from different styles such as Industrial, Drum 'n' Bass and classic Goa Trance, making it another genre-bending release. The distinct sci-fi-atmosphere that is special to all of Cybernetika's releases remains evident, though. Storytelling is another defining element of Goossens works, and "The Scythe Of Orion" is no exception:

"Invisible yet observing, the strangers transcended to a higher form of existence eons ago. As legend tells, the strangers once were like us, before they evolved into invisible deities no longer bound by time and space. Only a single relic of their ascension remains, holding the wisdom and the secrets of this superior civilization: The Scythe of Orion.”

Cybernetika returned to Ektoplazm with Colossus, another full-length album fusing psychedelic trance and drum ‘n bass with futuristic science fiction atmospheres. Following on the enormous success 2010's "The Scythe Of Orion", which was declared the best free psytrance album of 2010 by Ektoplazm visitors, and building on the genre-bending experimentalism of Atropos (2009), this album is another concept album featuring storytelling through innovative electronic music. As with his previous releases, Cybernetika has written an epigraph to situate the album within a thematic framework: “As all-consuming waves of entropy were reaching our galaxy, mankind was forced into a desperate battle for survival. With discovered technologies far beyond our understanding, we were able to construct a last bastion against a rapidly dissolving universe, right in the center of our galaxy: The Colossus, a gigantic, artificial shield of protection, preserving stability of space itself. With the Colossus, we can defeat our own destiny…”
