Biography
Cydemind is an instrumental progressive metal band. Unlike
other similar musical groups, it stands out with a violinist as the
main figure.
Its musical influences come from classical musicians
(Tchaikovsky, Chopin, Rimsky -Korsakov), jazz musicians (Avishai
Cohen, Tigran Hamasyan) and progressive bands (Dream Theater,
Symphony X, Ayreon). This variety of inspirations can attract
interest from a wide audience.
The group of Quebecers (Canada) formed in 2011 is
composed of five members : Olivier Allard (violin), Alexander
Dagenais (drums), Camille Delage (keyboards) , Nico Damoulianos
(bass) and Kevin Paquet (guitar) .
The band is preparing to publish its first EP Through Mists and Ages, which was produced and mixed by Paul Milner, a renowned sound engineer who worked with David Bowie, Rush, Eddy Grant and many others.
Cydemind’s mission is to renew, rethink and revive the progressive music and aspires to become a pillar of the progressive scene
