Biography
D'Oyly Carte Opera Company And Orchestra were formed up by Richard D'Oyly Carte, William Shwenk Gilbert and Arthur Sulllivan back in 1877. D'Oyly Carte wasmananger of the Royalty Theater in Soho, London, England and formed helped form a partnership between Gilbert and Sullivan (who wrote comic operas for the general victorian public) the company still peforms Gilbert and Sullivan's operas at the Savoy.
