DJ LissaMonét eats, breathes, and sleeps music.
Since stepping into the spotlight, LissaMonét has captivated trendsetters,
tastemakers and has provided emerging artists with an avenue to get
their music heard.
DJ LissaMonét’s insanely popular ‘play.as.you.go,’ ‘fresh out the box,’
‘label whore’ and now ‘THE MIXTAPE’ iPod mini mixtapes have kept
thousands of her loyal online followers listening to everything from
electro to old school to hip hop/r&b and the buzz about these mixes
are building worldwide.
Before Lissa was known for keeping a party live, Lissa was simply dubbed ‘the.go.to.girl’ for all things new and exclusive. LissaMonét used her business and
marketing background as leverage to learn what it takes to be successful.
“Whenever I’d see a void, I’d use my resources and connect people to
make things happen.”
Multi-talented, Lissa has worked along side entertainment industry
executives in Canada as a personal assistant who arranged sponsorship,
artist development, and PR logistics. Though she worked behind the scenes,
it was apparent to those around her that she wouldn’t stay there.
2008 has been a busy year. DJ LissaMonét has spun alongside Canada’s
prominent DJs at Toronto summer hotspot Budo [now known as Reign
Nightclub], the highly anticipated Wayne Warner exclusive events,
Toronto International Film Festival Private Events, Heineken Sponsored
Full Moon Party in the Bahamas, & Stylus DJ Awards after parties.
Lissa has DJed for celebrities such as Dwele , Ludacris, & Sienna Miller.
Her mandate as a DJ is simple:
“Good music is good music, no matter what your genre preference.”
