Biography

Veneice Fung-Chung aka Amari "DJ Mona-Lisa" was born in St. Andrew, Jamaica and migrated to the United States in her late teens. She wrote her first song, "Ghetto Child" when she was 10 years old and recorded it at age 15 at Dynamics Sounds. She then recorded "Needing You", a suave R&B single at age 17; her singing name was "Wonder-Woman".

While at a producer's home in Brooklyn New York, DJ Mona-Lisa was reading a magazine aloud when she was overheard by the producer who happens to also be a renown radio broadcaster. Clive Hudson immediately hired her as a newscaster on his popular radio show aired on WNWK 105.9 fm. Clive Hudson later encouraged his "protege" to produce and broadcast her own radio shows. She was known as DubWonder and was loved and cherished by radio audiences for more than a decade.

DJ Mona-Lisa studied International Law at Nova South Eastern University in Florida; she also attended other colleges where she pursued studies in Psychology, Computer Programming and Criminal Justice. Presently, she attends Full Sail University where she is pursuing a Film Bachelor of Science Degree. Over the years she emerged into a music master rater, rating more than 10,000 songs on Launchcast and talk show host; she even created her own online radio station from scratch. DJ Mona-Lisa photos are the highlights of her career. Admirers worldwide are captivated by her "sexy" appeal and beauty beyond compare.

DJ Mona-Lisa reality show portrays her reality series on her non-profitable channel on YouTube. She states that it is very therapeutic and have helped her to overcome the stigmas of child molestation and rape which she suffered as a child. In November 2012, DJ Mona-Lisa was hospitalized after suffering from food poisoning. After she was released from the hospital she experienced dizziness and other complications. According to her, during that time she realized that she need a "new spirit" to revive her soul, she made a pact with God; she would go back to who she really was–the singer, songwriter-the girl who was looking for love and most of all, the one who was willing to admit that she needed to be loved-not the one who pretended to be strong and watched daily as her world caved in.

A few months after she wrote and recorded multiple hit songs including "Don't Wanna Lose You", "It's Your World", "Goddess", Highway", "Taboo" and "Sleepless Nights". She also penned "Juicy Ain't It", another hit song that reminded her online fans of the fun-loving "Mona-Lisa of the new era" that they love and adore.

How did she come up with name? She said that oneday a friend of hers said to her, "You're so beautiful-you should be called Mona-Lisa."

DJ Mona-Lisa is well known on the internet and is often referred to as "Cyberspace's Hottest Chick". Her fans are global and has way surpassed a million. She always states that she is a threat to most networks and in the past was blocked from sending out bulletins or account deleted as soon as she reached 50,000 fans. She has that much influence.

At one point DJ Mona-Lisa went into depression after her account was closed down and she couldnt contact her online friends; she searched the web for them and was elated when she found even one. She shares her feelings by stating, "I didn't know that I was the only friend that most of my friends had; I found this out oneday while checking out their profiles; it broke my heart to think that I had lost them but then again our souls are merged; they will forever be a part of me."

In regards to not singing for the past 2 decades, she states, "I always wanted to sing but my own mom discouraged me." DJ Mona-Lisa never knew her mom until in her teens, she was left to be raised by her grandparents at 6 weeks old. DJ Mona-Lisa reports in interviews that her mom told her when she first met her that she "would not become "anything" in life". That was the day that DJ Mona-Lisa shared with her mom that she wanted to become a singer.

"I stopped writing although I wrote my first song at age 10", she states, "and although I had written over 100 songs at age 12..I hid behind my dreams by emerging into radio broadcasting and evolving into a recognized master rater; at one point my mom listened to me every night on the radio, not realizing I was her daughter", she continues, "but one night I mentioned my real name-my mom who was then a bonified fan was shocked and stopped listening to me."

"Don't ask me why my mother hates me even though I love her so much!" she exclaims "I cried the most when she died; somehow her death became my resurrection."

DJ Mona-Lisa believes that she was sent to heal the broken-hearted; she doesn't want anyone to suffer like she did. In 20i5, A'mari fell in love then was heartbroken; she wrote and recorded several reggae/dancehall hits featured in the album entitled, "Trendsetter" on Phantom Fireworks Record Label. The album includes popular singles such as "Superstar", "Wet n Wild","Jungle Fever", "Hush" and " Million Bucks".

Recently, while in studio DJ Mona-Lisa confided to her engineer that she didn't want to make a dime from "Goddess", a song she wrote about her best friend who died. "What do you want from this then?" Paul Harlyn remarked, "I just want to become a stronger voice for children molested worldwide, " she responded, "I need more fame to represent them before the White House
