Biography
Daichi Yamamoto a bilingual rapper from Kyoto, after studying Interaction Arts in London’s UAL, he’s back in Kyoto and made his debut album “Andless” in 2019 which he followed with a successful solo performance in Kyoto/Tokyo. In 2020, the album “Andless” has won a special prize on “Apple Vinegar Music Award 2020”. Continuously, he was attracting attention with features song on KZM’s album, producing music for TV commercial and Netflix campaign. During the self-restrain period in 2020, He produced an EP “Elephant In My Room” with a will. 京都生まれのMC。日本人の父とジャマイカ人の母を持つ。2012年からロンド ン芸術大学にてインタラクティブ・アートを学び、2017年10月イギリスから帰 国しJazzy Sportに所属。続く2018年には、STUTSやAi Kuwabaraらの作品へ の客演参加、MONJUから仙人掌 / PSGからGAPPERを招いたリード曲 のRemixを収録したAaron ChoulaiとのジョイントEP" Window “を発表。 2019年3月に発表したデジタル・シングル が、Apple Music「 今週のNEW ARTIST」にも選出され、Kanye WestやPharrell Williams、Jay-Z らとの作品でも知られる米国のMC・Lupe FiascoがそのMVをSNS上で取り上げ るなど、国内外からも注目を集める存在となった。 2019年9月1st アルバム '' Andless '' をリリース。12月には渋谷WWW / 京都 Metroでのリリースライブをお行い、バンドセットでのライブも披露。 そして2020年1月には、音楽ストリーミングサービスSpotifyが選ぶ、今年飛 躍が期待される注目の新進気鋭・国内アーティスト10組「Early Noise 2020」 としてDaichi Yamamotoが選出された。またASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION の後藤正文氏が主催する「Apple Vinegar Music Award 2020」では '' Andless '' が特別賞を受賞。さらに、八村塁選手出演の大正製薬「リポビタンD」TVCM や、Netflixキャンペーンへの参加が話題になるなど、今年大注目のアーティス トと言える。
