DAMY was a visual kei band active between 2013 and 2019. They were part of the loud kei and menhera kei subgenres, blending aggressive musical styles with emotionally charged and dark lyrics. The band consisted of vocalist Ryou (りょう) from Rayven, guitarist Sora (空) from AlvinA, bassist Soushi (颯熾) from AlvinA and drummer Miharu (海青). Former guitarist Hayato (はやと) was an early member, but he left the group in late 2014, retiring from music.
The band was formed in December 2013, and their first live performance, titled Akai Shinzou (赫イ心臓。), took place at Shibuya REX in April 2014. Shortly after, their first single, titled 『 』, was sold at a live event at Shinjuku RUIDO K4 in August 2014, with a second pressing released later that year in October.
Hayato departed from the band after their live show at Shinjuku RUIDO K4 in October 2014, citing personal reasons for his retirement from music. In December of the same year, Sora (previously from AlvinA) officially joined the band as the new guitarist during a performance at Ikebukuro BLACK HOLE.
DAMY continued releasing new music and performing live throughout the following years. In 2015, they released several singles, including Kagaisha (加害者) in March, Higaisha (被害者) and Teketeke (てけてけ) in April, and the maxi-single TETRA (テトラ) in October. In 2016, the band held a one-man live performance at BlackHole and released the single Shinkai (深海), followed by Mushuusei (無修正) in May.
The band played their final one-man live show at Shibuya ON AIR WEST on May 6, 2019, marking the end of their activity. A recording of the performance was later released as a DVD on June 30, 2019. Following DAMY’s disbandment, vocalist Ryou began a solo project called Amayadori (雨宿), bassist Soushi joined the band VIRGE (ヴァージュ), and drummer Miharu became a member of Dokuga (毒蛾).
