Biography

Daniel Freedman was born October 20, 1950 in New London Connecticut. He grew up
on Pequot Avenue a few houses down from the Eugene O'Neil "Monte Cristo Cottage".
He graduated Stamford High School where he played with a Rock band the "Shy Guys".
At Boston University he studied Communications and Film.
Dan moved to Los Angeles where he wrote a film script "Liliuokalani" about Hawaii's
last monarch. This was considered for production by Harpo productions but never given the green light. He's also written two musicals "Pearl and the Pumpkin" and
"Toby the Incredible Learned Pig" which was a finalist at the Wonderland One Act Festival at Theater Works on 42nd Street in NYC.
His influences are a number of great pianists like: Errol Garner, Dave Brubeck,
Henry Mancini, and Dave Frank. Music to him is a living thing which is always changing
and always expanding. It's possibilities are limitless.
