Biography
With over 1 million downloads combined in the first 2 years of his releases, Dashius Clay has made waves on the music scene from the moment he stepped foot in it. The infamous red-bearded Cali, Colombia native was introduced to us in 2012 with the release of his “Black Shades At Night” EP, which was filled with remixes and new versions of Tiesto, Afrojack, Diplo, Chromeo, deadmau5, and many more notables. Dashius delivered an entirely new spin on EDM music with his features that garnered him instant recognition in the Electronic and Hip-Hop world. From effortless flow to edgy lyrics, Dashius is as electrifying to the ears as he is to the eyes.
After releasing his first major single “Touch Me” with European DJ’s Funkwell and Daan’D, Dashius and the duo garnered what would be one of two charted placements the artist would find his way on in a span of 12 months. In 2014, Dashius released his self-produced debut album “Free Sex” on iTunes and Datpiff where it quickly found itself on the “Hot List” for the first 2 weeks with over 10,000 downloads. He spent the rest of 2014 releasing some of the biggest remixes of the year with records from Daft Punk, Pharrell, Zhu, AlunaGeorge, and even Toro y Moi.
What separates Dashius from the rest is how strong his following is. Known as his #Dashaholiks, his devoted fans have been rapidly growing since his introduction. They have the type of presence that takes over all of social media, especially when he releases new music or videos. In 2015, Dashius has already set the bar high for his upcoming album with the release of his first 2 singles “Passion No Patience” and “EAT PRAY F*CK”. “Being raised in Miami has taught me everything about music and people, all I want to do is create something fresh” says the artist. Whether he is producing tracks for the likes of Kendrick Lamar and Chief Keef, or he is releasing one of his theme-driven EP’s, one thing we know is that we can expect a lot more of the unexpected from the Red Baron in the near future.
