Biography
Representing New York City, Dave is a Drum'N'Bass renaissance man and a respected contributor to the North American Drum and Bass community. Owner of Driven AM, the premier North American DnB Artist Management, Record Label, and Production company. Events coordinator and resident DJ for the legendary NYC production team 'Direct Drive' and previously part of 'Natural Selection'. In a sample based genre, Dave is a respected producer who avoids them almost completely. He is well known for his signature Drum and Bass sound; fusing acoustic Jazz sensibilities with funky liquid DnB grooves. Dave has released music multiple times on Luv Disaster (solo and alongside Dave Owen) including a 6 song EP "I'm Holding Out My Hand", Peer Pressure Recordings, Liquid Brilliants, Basswerk (solo and alongside Sol.ID), Influenza Minus, Deeper Vision Recordings, Electronic River Recordings, and his own imprint Driven AM Recordings. 2013 was a big year for Dave with 2 EP's with Duoscience on Think Deep Recordings & Diskool Records; "Ivory Skies" with Dave Owen on Driven AM; "Hell Gate" with Ted Ganung and Anthony Granata on Deeper Vision Recordings. Dave has music forthcoming on Think Deep, LuvDisaster, Basswerk, DNBB, Chillax Trax, and his own imprint Driven AM with support from DJ Randall, Random Movement, Mixmaster Doc, Philth among others. Dave has performed live more than 300 times in 18 States in the US, and headlining gigs aboard in San Juan Puerto Rico, Barcelona Spain and Bogota Colombia in the past 15 years alongside the biggest names in DnB including Andy C at Highline Ballroom, Marky, HYPE, High Contrast and six times with Goldie including at the legendary Webster Hall in NYC. Dave’s music has been heard on a Metalheadz Podcast, frequently on Bassdrive, and a mix and interview with Knowledge Magazine. Yearly appearances at the World of Drum & Bass during WMC in Miami, multiple Driven AM showcases at 'Respect LA' and across the US, Dave has brought his energetic style to parties from coast to coast on tours in 2009, 2011 and is scheduled for his biggest tour yet in 2014!
