Born in 1948 in Clarksville, Tennessee
At an early age David was listening to Ray Price, Dean Martin, Johnny Horton, and Of course Elvis. Later influences are Kristopherson, The Band, Hank Williams. Primarily affected by Woody Guthrie and Johnny Cash.
David Michael Jackson speaks a simple language of the lyrical poetry of the love song. Simplicity is the word.
