Pastor DeAndre Patterson, Senior Pastor & Chief Servant Destiny Worship Center Assistant Pastor, Miracle Revival Center COGIC Radio Personality, WGRB 1390 AM - Chicago
As a man of vision, Pastor DeAndre Patterson is revered locally, nationally and internationally as a dynamic vessel of integrity, leadership and anointed worship. A native of the Chicago land suburb of Maywood, Illinois, the elements of Pastor Patterson’s calling revealed themselves quickly: from his early age in Davis Memorial AME and Miracle Revival Center COGIC; to attaining 20 years of faithful work (from church organist to Senior Associate Pastor) at Progressive Life-Giving Word Cathedral in Maywood & Hillside, Illinois; to his successful career as a songwriter and 2-time Stellar nominated recording artist with Tyscot Records. Pastor Patterson’s ministry of the preached word has placed him high in demand and taken him across the country, and as a recording artist, he has completed three (3) European tours – London, England; Paris, France; and, Malmo, Sweden.
All of these prepared him for his greatest calling – to birth Destiny Worship Center, a powerful move of God located on the West Side of Chicago, Illinois. ‘Destiny’ works to foster the believer in achieving their purpose in life and produce leaders who have the knowledge, values and practical skills necessary to become effective in every corner of our world. Pastor Patterson was officially released into the call of Pastoral ship on March 12, 2004, and Destiny Worship Center opened its doors on June 12, 2004. Destiny enjoys an outstanding reputation of having a well-rounded ministry, as it encompasses effective and fervent preaching and teaching of the Holy Bible, a clear plan of salvation, a grounded base of sanctification, a dynamic music ministry, and lively gatherings. As Senior Pastor and ‘Chief Worshipper’, Pastor Patterson leads a congregation that is growing rapidly in its 6+ years of existence, and it is yet growing.
In addition to his commitment to Destiny, Pastor Patterson established DeAndre Patterson Ministries in 2004. That same year, Pastor Patterson received honorary Doctrinal Degrees of Divinity and Sacred Music by the Gospel Ministry Outreach Theological Institute of Houston, Texas. He also joins gospel pioneers and other esteemed colleagues as a board member of the City of Chicago Annual Gospel Festival, is continually honored worldwide and serves in an array of areas including: Radio Broadcast Announcer for WGRB Inspiration 1390AM - Chicago and music workshop conductor for choirs and Praise & Worship conferences.
Most recently, in the Spring of 2008, Pastor Patterson’s ministry graciously accepted yet another mandate: he came to the aid of one of his most cherished mentors, Bishop Willie J. Chambliss, and he now works by his side under the assignment of Assistant Pastor of Miracle Revival Center Church of God in Christ of Maywood, Illinois. Pastor Patterson now resides in the historical Bronzeville district of Chicago, Illinois and is happily married to Patricia Ann Lane-Patterson and they have been blessed with two sons, Linden Myles Hope and Dylan Andre Patterson.
Pastor Patterson yet shines as a people person with a special heart for the family of God. Through his ministry, now leading two ministries, inner city communities are empowered and assisted by being offered resources to aid them in being productive Christians. As he motivates people everywhere with his endearing, heartfelt creeds that "Love Is What Love Does" and to not "believe what you see but see what you believe", Pastor Patterson is a God-loving leader of humility that yet continues to move effectively in his ministry, breaking down barriers of denomination while maintaining the basics of true gospel. Among these accomplishments, it is still clear that the best is yet to come.
