The song was released on July 1, 2015 by Hollywood, Island and Safehouse Records, and made its radio premiere on the same date via Republic Records.
It was written by Lovato, Max Martin, Ali Payami, Alexander Erik Kronlund, and Savan Kotecha.
It is also Lovato's very first song with a Parental Advisory label.
