I wonder why he did it, maybe he was drunk and got raped. Like the guy in the 1971 Australian movie Wake in Fright, he wanted to murder another guy who had raped him when he was drunk. I really hope it wasn't because of homophobia, because that discredits him as a sentient human being in my eyes. Anyway, he killed himself, so that's pretty much atonement for what he did.

Nazism is just a coping mechanism for edgy teenagers who thought they were Satanists. They were looking for the meaning of life and rationality in something that is by definition irrational, and so they rebranded themselves as Nazis because it sounded more reasonable to them. You can believe in the annihilation of all mankind or spare just a few people who resemble "you" which do you choose? Probably spare a privileged group of people. This deviation towards Nazism comes from insecurity in one's own convictions. Yes, thriving and selective extermination of people, also known as ethnic cleansing, seems more comfortable to these goons who believe in neo-Nazism. This is why Jon despised them and advocated an ideology that calls for the extinction of all life, not just humans. Even though it's a more honest approach, I still think it's kind of stupid because it still comes from an insecurity to get rid of the object of frustration, comes from Ressentiment.Real strength lies in adaptation.

Dead was a hero, it's easy to kill another, but it's more difficult to kill oneself. Nodtveidt killed another person but he felt guilty that he's at large enjoying the benefits of life while it couldn't bring his victim back to life, he couldn't live happily with the fact that the justice system in Scandinavia failed and is such a farce. Why else did he kill himself as soon as he was released from prison? Perhaps he missed the gay friend he had killed and wanted to reunite with him in death? We'll never know the truth, all that is certain is that he decided to do the right thing, which the justice system couldn't do, namely to carry out the death penalty on himself.

I think a lot of people confuse Tiamat with a dragon because this depiction was popularized by D&D, where she's portrayed as a giant dragon broodmother who has incestuous urges towards her brother, like Adam and Eve. And a lot of black metallers are massive nerds. There are also some conspiracy theories about a draconic lineage, stemming from a Templar sect of the "human progenitors" and related to reptilians. Canonically, it was the demon sphinx, not the dragon in the Western sense. But ignorant Westerners tend to call every monster a dragon, just as a small child would call a dinosaur a dragon.
