Biography
The musical project Distorted World (Moscow) was founded in 2010 as a side-project by the keyboardist of Anthracitic Moths, Ivan M. The music style is Gothic, Darkwave and Dark Electro influenced and includes electronics, dancing beats, as well as symphonic elements, melodies and distorted vocals. Few tracks include beautiful female vocals, performed by Angelina L.
Dark and mysterious atmosphere is one of the most important parts in music by Distorted World, which is complemented by English lyrics (excl. 'Hexentanz', which is in German) describing extramundane worlds, ominous rituals and dark corners of a human mind.
Despite the fact that Distorted World was started as a studio project, the first live-show was performed in January 2012 in a Moscow club. Later Distorted World has taken part in a few shows along with the well-known headliners such as Grendel, Detroit Diesel, Uberbyte. Some tracks were included in gothic and industrial compilations.
The first CD, called "Between the Stropes", was released in 2012 on Artificial Sun label in an amount of 500 copies.
