Elita is a Canadian band consisting of Elita Harkov (vocals, lyrics), Tim Rypien (guitar, keyboards, drums), and Johnny Krank (bass, guitar, slide guitar). The project was originally started by boyfriend and girlfriend Rypien and Harkov after making a cover of a Velvet Underground song together. They released their debut single "I Hate Everyone But You" on July 12, 2018.
Emma Harvey, professionally known as Elita Harkov, is a singer, model, actress, and internet celebrity. She originally grew her following in the 2010s through posting pictures of herself on Twitter, Tumblr, and Instagram, often with provocative captions. In 2019, she was featured in singer Melanie Martinez's feature film K-12.
Harvey is also the daughter of author/filmmaker Kenneth J Harvey, who she has acted in the films of, and sister of writer Katherine Harvey, who has helped film Elita's music videos.
