Elkhan Bahram oglu Mansurov (February 21, 1955 , Baku) - tar player, mugam singer, Honored Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan (2005).
Elkhan Mansurov was born on February 21, 1955 in Baku, in a musical family. He learned to play the tar from his father as a child. Elkhan Mansurov graduated from the secondary music school named after Asaf Zeynalli in 1975, and in 1983 from the tar class of the Azerbaijan State Conservatory named after Uzeyir Hajibeyov. He has been working as a soloist-concertmaster in the orchestra of the Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after MFAkhundov for 47 years. During this time, he prepared many singers for leading roles in mugam operas. Among them are Nazakat Teymurova - Leyli, Shahsanam and Asli; Gulustan Aliyeva - Leyli, Shahsanam, Asli and Arabzangi; Lala Mammadova - Leyli; Alim Gasimov - Majnun and Garib; Sabuhi Ibayev - Majnun, Garib and Shah Ismail; Simara Imanova - Leyli and Shahsanam; Malakkhanim Eyyubova - Leyli; Zahid Guliyev - Majnun; Tayyar Bayramov - Shah Ismail and Ibn Salam; Gulyaz Mammadova - Personally and Originally; Aygun Bayramova - Personally and Originally; Mutallim Damirov - The Stranger and Ibn Salam; Vusala Musayeva - Leyli; Ilkin Ahmadov - Majnun; Rafig Aliyev - Majnun and Shah Ismail; Elnur Zeynalov - father of Garib, Ibn Salam and Majnun; Nazar Baylarov - Ibn Salam and Zayd - can be mentioned.
Elkhan Mansurov is a connoisseur of Azerbaijani mughams and a skilled performer. For many years, he has been promoting our mughams in the press, radio and television. He is the only tar player who has preserved the tradition of classical mugam after his father Bahram Mansurov. Elkhan Mansurov was awarded the honorary title of "Honored Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan" on September 16, 2005. He has repeatedly promoted Azerbaijani music in foreign countries - Finland , Turkey , Iraq , Russia and Central Asia . CDs and DVDs performed by him in France , Iran , Canada , Germany, Produced and broadcast in Turkey .
In 2005, Elkhan Mansurov performed solo tar parts in his brother, composer Eldar Mansurov's famous "Bahramname" project.
