Biography
Emergency Bride began in 2006 in Newcastle upon Tyne UK, with founder/guitarist/vocalist/cellist Lowell Mills, and violinist Daria Wallace. A handful of recordings were collected on a four-track by the time Daria left to pursue uni. Violin was subsequently provided by Rosie Welsh for the first gigs and later by Chris Heaps who completed the lineup for the first two EPs: Pistons & Components (self-release, 2010) and Fulk Music (Ultra Friends, 2012). The output of the band has been compared to slowcore acts such as Red House Painters, and also to Peter Hamill's solo work, Joy Division and Dirty Three.
