Her music was recently described in The Musician as "fascinating and unique" and in Europe - European Progressive Music "music that is deep, thoughtful and also lifts your spirits"

“In her compositions, Emily is capable of gathering, in a truly spontaneous way, elements derived from her Classical upbringing, together with those coming from the ethnic musics she has lived with."
“dare to venture into a realm of beautiful sometimes haunting cello playing.."

After scholarships to Wells Cathedral School and The Royal College of Music, Emily continued her stellar musical trajectory by playing at most great London venues with the city’s orchestras and chamber groups and performing internationally with a variety of artists in rock and pop genres. A brilliant improviser, she has been in continuous demand as a session musician and has played with a variety of musicians, from the Stereophonics and Jools Holland to Alison Moyet and Marc Almond.
