Biography
Empty Cause is a punk band from the Trenton, NJ area consisting of 4 college students. The concept of the band formed when the drummer, Jerry, and Guitarist and Singer, Kapps, started playing music together. Their long time friend Ray joined as lead guitarist shortly after. They were then joined by Rob on the bass and have been playing together ever since. Officially beginning in late 2009, they started writing and recording all their own original music.
Now being a band for over a year, Empty Cause has performed at different locations in the Trenton area, including Championship Bar on Chambers Street in Trenton.
Empty Cause's influences include classic punk sounds from bands like Black Flag and Bad Religion with some hints of modern bands like MxPx and Blink-182. With each of their songs having their own unique message and sound you never know what you can expect from this band! From light hearted to strong message to heavy fast paced in your face Empty Cause has music that everyone can enjoy!
Empty Cause is constantly recording new music and playing local shows so be sure to check back constantly for the latest up to date information! Also, if you would like to book the band for a show by all means just ask! They have never canceled or backed out of a show before, nor will they ever.
On January 22, 2011 Empty Cause released their first CD on iTunes, entitled 'Spread The Cause'.
