If you want something far better, go listen to metal bands with more emphasis on guitar riffs and awesome bass like Bolt Thrower, Marduk, Toxic Holocaust, Nuclear Assault, etc. instead of this watered-down "pop" metal band. Salutations.

Loving the new album! There are a couple of songs which stand out as weaker/filler which probably prevent it from being one of their best albums. Then again, expecting a band 20+ years into their career to deliver their best work is a little unreasonable. I'm just happy they keep putting out albums on this high of a level. The New Age Dawns songs are all absolutely amazing. I guess my one hope for the next album would be more songs in that vein and a few less of the more straight forward, catchy type.

Their new album is called Aspiral, it will be released on April 11th and contains 11 tracks (including two we already know, Arcana and the title track). In a few hours, we will be able to hear the new single Cross The Divide.

Aspiral is strong album, reminiscent of the good old days of Design Your Universe. I am glad that Epica left the powerprog abundance, as in omega and alchemy project. My Favorites - Arcana, Apparition, Fight to survive, The great saga of Existence.

Just had a couple of spins of the new album, and i can say that I liked it. Not very much like Design Your Universe, Consign to Oblivion, and The Holographic Principle (which are both majestic and still my top EPICA albums), but it has some great and shining moments. I also looove the new elements which are present in some of the songs/some sections of the songs like Obsidian Heart, New Age Dawns songs and Fight to Survive. Some songs seem like it fits Therion's catalogue - which is a good sign for me because i love Therion! I would still give it a 7,5/10.

As much as it hurts to say that the latest singles haven't been quite it for me (Arcana is decent mostly for the vocals and Ghost in Me is cool if it counts), Epica is still definitely one of my favorite bands of all time. I feel like the Symphonic Synergy makes up for the weaker singles, that performance is absolutely mindblowing.

Vinicius, lembro disso (inclusive, que dia incrível foi aquele <3) e eles tem postado alguns vlogs no instagram sobre as gravações do novo álbum desde então. Mas não acho que essas músicas são dele, visto que o lançamento é só no ano que vem e ainda não divulgaram mais detalhes. Ruan, que interessante kkkk tinha percebido que eles usaram a melodia de la danse macabre nela e vi agora que a atração do parque tem esse mesmo nome, adorei!

No, I'm not saying that. Yes, it's different, because the production of an album is the result of a work and personal tastes are part of who she, you and I are. Understand, there's no problem in your criticism of her vocal performance, and there wouldn't be if you criticized things like the quality of her lyrics, photos or videos. The problem is in your INSISTENCE on relating her performance in the band to what she likes to do, say, buy or wear — as if she were a robot that exists for a single purpose and that needs to work on it 24 hours a day and do everything perfectly —, when one thing has nothing to do with the other. And still try to convince us that this makes some sense or that she's doing something wrong. She has a life outside the band and she has the right to it. When YOU get this idea of an idol out of your head, you'll conclude the same as us. At the end of the day, she's just an ordinary person who likes to make music. Common sense is understanding this.

And about consumerism, the only difference between buying 50 makeup products and 50 albums is that only one of them is considered "girly stuff", therefore, it is treated as futile. Do you consider yourself superficial for taking care of yourself? I don't think so. So why should she avoid doing the same or even talking about it? If I criticize consumerism, should I really deprive myself of something and live with the bare minimum in a cave making fire with rocks? Exercising critical thinking is good, but do you think that directing so much of your attention to this discussion will lead to any significant change? Well, I hope this is really helping to evolve your mind, because personally I didn't even expect to read the term "metal barbie" in 2024 (I thought we had already overcome this saturated subject). And it's great that you don't drink or smoke, welcome to the team! But how about we stop going around in circles now? You don't even need to answer these questions. So once again, bye!

Vontade de morrer em saber que o álbum novo só vem em 2025, mas eu espero que eles sigam a linha do TAP e experimentem mais ainda e seja completamente diferente dos anteriores, pode até ser mais prog que o RFTI, que coloquem saxofone e o caralho a quatro nas musicas.
