Biography

  • Born

    27 March 1995 (age 29)

Eric Dingus is a producer hailing from Austin, Texas. With over a decade of experience, he started producing at the young age of 15 and has since gained widespread recognition for his music. His early instrumental tapes like “Instrumentals Vol.1 - Remember 1995” and “Instrumentals Vol.2 - How Are You Dreaming” have received acclaim from artists like Chris Travis and propelled him into the limelight.

Growing up in Texas, Eric found inspiration in the works of old artists such as Three 6 Mafia, Criminal Mafia, and DJ Squeeky, whose music he sampled in his own productions. He has also collaborated with some pioneers, such as DJ Smokey.

Eric’s unique sound – a blend of classic 808 sounds, heavy ambient samples, beautiful vocals, and copious amounts of reverb – perfectly captured the trippy, atmospheric, and cloudy vibes of the era from 2012 to 2015. During this period, he worked with several underground legends like Bones, Xavier Wulf, Pouya, and Bladee, to name just a few.

His musical prowess eventually caught the attention of OVO Sound, leading to a signing with the label. Eric’s notable collaborations with Drake include producing “Now & Forever,” and he also occasionally releases OVO Sound radio mixes.
