Biography
Ermo are a two-piece from Braga, Portugal. They are influenced by liturgic music and folk, as well as industrial music, electronic music and minimalism.
The duo consists of Antonio Costa (Vox, Guitar) and Bernardo Barbosa (Keyboards, Electronics). In their early days, their music was mostly guitar based, and often used vocal samples, but since their early songs, they have started incorporating more elements of electronic music. Their 2012 untitled EP consisted of 5 songs, built around minimalistic keyboards and pianos, voice, and featured a preface written by Mão Morta's Adolfo Luxúria Canibal, one of the forefathers of the 80s industrial movement in Braga, that greatly influenced Ermo. They released their debut album, "Vem Por Aqui", in late 2013, through Optimus Discos. It features a largely electronic sound, with poppier song structures and minimalistic, hip hop influenced experimental beats.
