Esmée Denters is a Dutch female singer. She first rose to prominence in the late 2000s by covering songs by Beyoncé, Alanis Morrisette and Alicia Keys, and posting them on YouTube. In 2007, her talent was discovered by Justin Timberlake and she became the first artist to sign under Timberlake's new label imprint, Tennman Records in association with Interscope, thus becoming the first unsigned singer to go directly from YouTube to commercially performing on the major stage. She was the opening act of Timberlake's 2007 European tour at 10 venues.

In 2009, she released her debut studio album Outta Here . Its lead single of the same name was a hit single in Europe, peaking at #3 on the Dutch official Top 40 and #7 on the UK Official Singles Charts. It also reached #9 on the Billboard Dance Club Songs Charts. It has sold over 200,000 copies in the UK. It was followed by the second single “Admit It”.

In 2010, she released “Love Dealer” with Justin Timberlake, which reached #12 on the Dutch official Top 40 and #68 on the UK Official Singles Charts. She also performed on tour with artists Ne-Yo, Enrique Iglesias and N-Dubz. She also collaborated with rapper Chipmunk on “Until You Were Gone”, which was a Top 3-hit in the UK and sold over 200,000 copies.

Denters was dropped from Tennman Records in 2012. On 24 January 2015, Denters appeared on BBC One's The Voice UK, selected to join will.i.am's team for the next round, but she was eliminated in the knock-out rounds.
