Biography
Essay For The Ordinary are a young (all 16/17 years old as at October 2007) english ska/punk/pop punk band from Worthing in Sussex. Influenced by Reel Big Fish, Less Than Jake and similar bands, the boys do however have quite a distinct sound, that almost always lifts the crowd at any gig they are playing at, getting them up and dancing. Apart from the occassional play of the one cover sound in their set list, the boys write all their own songs, and have done since forming the current line-up in April 2006.
They love gigs and playing live, and have been fortunate to play in front of 800 Worthing locals at a Prince's Trust gig, play Guilfest 2007 - opening one of the Liveclub tents on the Sunday - and getting a great reception from the crowd, also Concorde 2 in Brighton. They have played a number of charity or fundraising gigs, and have been fortunate to win 3 Battle of The Band competitions in the 17 months they have been together.
Now they are looking to get their music heard further afield, via Myspace networking and offering their services to promoters outside their local area.
