Essence of Night is Serbian “Alternative Electronix” project, started by its sole member, Victor in year 2008. In first year of existence, Essence of Night released several EPs, but only later, with the first studio release, full length album God Complex (2008), Essence of Night started the line of their official releases for Dark:Scene net label. At that point, sound was mostly influenced by futurepop and harsh EBM scene. On the second release, Dream Symphony (2009), these influences became somewhat weaker, leading to more experimental sound, which finally emerged with Synthesize the Winter (2010) and Generated Emotions (2010). At that point sound became very different from the first idea, but also from everything else seen on the underground scene.
Essence of Night combines synthetic sounds and electronic beats, typical for EBM subgenres with Trance melodies, deep vocals and sometimes even Metal drums and guitars, creating in that way unique sound, with dark underground atmosphere of Darkwave, but dancable feeling of EBM and energy blasts of Metal.
Essence of Night releases are all available for free download and were released for Dark:Scene Records.
