Eyemèr is Arlo Devreese, an indie singer-songwriter from Ghent, Belgium, whose work is influenced by artists such as Soko, Daughter, Bon Iver and Waxahatchee. Devreese’s fragile, raw voice and dark lo-fi sound have become Eyemèr's trademark.
Devreese (still performing as Sarah Devreese at the time) reached the 2014 finals of Belgium’s greatest competition for musicians, Humo’s Rock Rally.
Eyemèr's début album, Temorarily Colourblind, came out in March 2016. Its release was followed by may live performances in 2016 and 2017, supporting well-known Belgian bands such as Marble Sounds, Isbells, Chantal Acda, Astronaute and Mad About Mountains.
October 2019 saw the release of the sophomore Eyemèr EP, Good Mourning To You. As usual the songs on this EP are about mental health, a topic around which Eyemèr tries to break the stigma. In 2018 Devreese came out as non-binary and embraced their queer sexuality to the fullest.
