Biography
Enda Bates writes, records and performs music under the alias Fairlights. His first release, the Deadweight E.P. was recorded in 2003, and the debut Fairlights album, Scraps, was released on the Alphabet Set label in 2005. (www.alphabetset.net). A new album of mostly electronic work entitled Quarterworks was released in March 2007. Gigs played include the Ballroom of Romance, Lazybird, the DEAF festival (www.deafireland.com), Beaconsfield Galleries The Mother of All parties (www.beaconsfield.ltd.uk), and the Mantua Lives Festival (www.mantuaproject.com).
Enda has also been known to play with the Spook of the 13th Lock and Miriam Ingram. He has also done production and recording work for Somadrone, the Spook of the 13th Lock and Daniel Figgis.
