Biography
Felix Kramer is a Viennese songwriter from Ottakring, a Viennese district known for its Heuriger taverns and its brewery.
He plays on the dark strings of life and sings heart-wrenching songs of heartbreak and abandonment. His debut album Wahrnehmungssache (“matter of perception”) is heavy despite its sparse instrumentation. He gets a few things off his chest through his songs, when he sings of the callousness and brutalization of society and the current government.
Kramer’s 2018 performance at Popfest Wien introduced him to a wider audience and brought him coverage in local press and radio stations such as Ö1, FM4 and BR, followed by a Top 20 chart placement in Austria for his debut. In 2019, he performed at Haldern Pop (DE) and Kaltern Pop Festival (IT), Winterthurer Musikfestwochen as well as Heimatsound Festival. His latest album, Oh Wie Schön das Leben Is, was released in May 2023 on Phat Penguin Records.
