FEMMEPOP
Femmepop is singer songwriter/ producer Margaret O' Sullivan from Cork. The Kick EP (2008) was Femmepop's first commercial release. Self recorded and produced it also features Chris Geddes of Belle & Sebastian playing on the title track. She has had airplay on Ireland's RTE radio among others, and the Uk's BBC Radio. Femmepop played a mini UK Tour promoting the Kick EP in 2009/2010 which included some of London's top music spots. Reviewers have made comparisons to names such as Lovefoxx, Kavinsky, Madonna, Cocteau Twins, The Breeders, and The School of Seven Bells - a plethora of sound. Femmepop's widespread appeal reaches as far as Japan with a recent chart positions of Number 2 .
2013 saw Femmepop self release 3 singles, "1983", and two collaborations with Timecop1983, "Timescapes" and "Our Time". As 2013 came to an end, the Single "Timescapes" saw an inclusion in BBC Radio's Tom Robinson's best songs of December! A Collaboration with Swedish Artist Robert Parker resulted in the Single "Not That Kind" being released in April 2014, gaining yet another top 5 position in the George Williams Show in Japan. Femmepop's debut album 'From A Girl Who Never Sleeps' was written, recorded, produced and mixed by Femmepop. In October 2014 'Yellow Lines' from the album was featured yet again in Tom Robinson's BBC 6 Music mixtape. Femmepop worked with international Artists such as Sellorekt/LA Dreams, Timecop1983 and Robert Parker, on some collaborations that feature on the album. The album was additionally mixed and mastered by the legendary Gavin Monaghan. The album was released on September 17th 2014 to great critical acclaim.
In 2015 Femmepop released 2 Singles and collaborated with Uk artist Kalax in 'Celestial' and French based Chronica on the Single 'The Game'. Femmepop was nominated for 'Best Female Solo Artist' and for 'Best Single' at The Pure M Awards in Dublin.
The 'Underground' EP was released on January 2016. It has received great reviews and BBC Radio Ulster featured ‘There is A
Place’ as their track of the day on the renowned ATL Show. With Japan’s popular ‘What The Funday’ Show playing
‘Underground’ on continuous repeat it seems the EP is garnering wide appeal. The unique ‘Underground’ Video was created
by Glaswegian based Visual artist Sharon Graham and features Ms Femmepop in a swash of colourful & 80s based visuals.

Reviews….
"We’ve been impressed with the careful build-up of Femmepop’s career strategy, gradually amassing the body of songs that culminated last month in the release of her debut album From A Girl Who Never Sleeps – produced by Margaret herself and mixed by Gavin Monaghan, no less. Every ambitious artist whose aim is to make a living from music has to tread a fine line between pop accessibility and artistic credibility…Margaret has achieved that ideal balance. We wish her well" Tom Robinson BBC Music 6
".. happily put my weight behind this ….Fair amount of debate as to what track to play tonight, as I would of quite happily played a number of tracks (from the Album) on the show tonight….this is a choice from me" Rigsy 'Across The Line' BBC Radio Ulster
"On the frontlines of the New Wave revolution is Irish songstress, Femmepop aka Margaret O'Sullivan.
She is already making a name for herself in the synthpop community and when the songs are as good as this one, there's no doubt this is right where she should be." Pop, Rinse Repeat
