It was released on September 22, 2009 through Prospect Park Records and debuted at #7 on the Billboard 200 selling approximately 44,000 copies in its first week. The original lineup included vocalist Ivan Moody, rhythm guitarist Zoltan Bathory, lead guitarist Caleb Andrew Bingham, bassist Matt Snell, and drummer Jeremy Spencer.
