Biography

Flowers For Whores is a Czech band known for their energetic live shows.

Flowers For Whores got together in Autumn 2005, when, after a long search, two former members of Kevorkian (Mira and Tomas) found Pavel and Mysak (Ambrosia), who wanted to try something a little different from their other band. After a couple of practices, Mikita joined them, and shortly after left his original band, Abhorrence.

From the start it was clear that the creative process would be a lot more complicated than in their previous bands, as the musical tastes of the individual members spanned an eclectic mix of genres. Influenced by 90's bands from the hardcore scene such as Unbroken, Bloodlet, Dragbody, Botch, Damnation A.D., Deadguy, and Harvest, by Swedish metal in the style of At The Gates, Entombed or Carnage, thrash from Exhorder or Kreator and even modern day metalcore such as Misery Signals, Darkest Hour, Nine, SkyCameFalling, Bird of Ill Omen, Norma Jean and tonnes of other bands, they started to work on their own songs so they could, at the start of 2006, record their first demo of two songs (A Game On Shells, Head In The Clouds). This took place in Sir Pavel Hejc's Professional Sound studios in Prague.
