𝗙𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗔.𝗜.𝗗.𝗦. ((stylized as "FULL BLOWN A.I.D.S" (with additional credits under Full Blown AIDS) ) was an American grindcore band from Boston, Massachusetts, formed in early 1997 by Seth Putnam (guitar & vocals) and his cousin. Inspired by early hardcore punk bands like Black Flag, Bad Brains, and The Germs, the band was known for their aggressive and uncompromising sound.
Full Blown A.I.D.S. experienced frequent lineup changes during its early years. In 1998, Putnam recorded a demo of "No One Cares" with Nate Linehan on drums. He then moved to Texas in 2002, but eventually returned to Boston.
By 2003, Putnam had settled on a more stable lineup with Paul Kraynak (bass) and Robert Williams (drums). That same year, the band quickly recorded and mixed seven songs in a single day.
Notably, Putnam went into a coma shortly before the band was scheduled to record the final three songs for their first full-length CD. Despite this setback, Putnam eventually recovered.
In 2006, a fan persuaded Putnam to release the six songs from the original recording session on a limited-edition 12" EP, titled 1𝘴𝘵 𝘌𝘗. In 2007, Full Blown A.I.D.S. recorded and released their second limited-edition 12" EP, titled 𝘓𝘦𝘦𝘤𝘩.
Full Blown A.I.D.S. occasionally played shows, including a couple of performances in Brooklyn, New York, with the band Kilslug, in January 2008. In 2008, the band released a compilation CD of their two 12" EPs, along with the duet "Throwing Cars at People on Coke with Thor," which featured Thor, of the bands Anal Cunt and Man Is the Bastard.
The band's final release, a live album, titled 𝘝𝘪𝘳𝘢𝘭 𝘓𝘰𝘢𝘥, was released in 2011. It featured Josh Randall on drums, the only lineup to record with Randall. Full Blown A.I.D.S. disbanded in 2011, following Putnam's death.
