The audiovisual project Fusedmarc was formed in 2004 and soon became one of the most interesting musical phenomena in all of today’s Baltic states. The initial impulse for the emergence of the band was its members’ idea of merging different art forms with the purpose of arriving at an original and unique form of expression, manifested as the synthesis of music and video art.
The performance involves an impressive visual scenery with the use of electronic and acoustic instruments together and a moving live vocal. Digital instrumentation blends with pre-composed musical arrangements, giving the performance a live and spontaneous feel. Live visuals emotionally correspond to the flow of the composition. This combination of the onstage elements contributes to an amplified concert experience, giving the listener an opportunity to find unexpected emotive associations. Altogether the show is an audio visual 'experience', which is open to free interpretations.
Fusedmarc has been cited as one of the most interesting musical projects in Baltic States. Being among the initiative in Lithuanian alternative electronic scene, reflecting the best moods of alternative, electronic and trip-hop genres. The release of their CONTRACTION EP in 2005 on Sutemos Net Label has quickly gained the praise of the appreciative public.
