Apart from Freddies Frog 2000 "GBG Sound" was probably the first band in Gothenburg to play punk - or in their own words: fast and aggressive rock music. The band members knew each other and had played together since before when they in the fall of 1977 recruited LOB as a singer. They soon became live-favourites, even tough LOB got quite some critique when he did his "Iggy-thing" at the opening of the rock club Errols. "GBG Sound" showed, backed up with two single releases in 1978, that you didn't have to have the music industry behind you to release a record.Together with "Bruset" they also created "Garageligan" an important institution for the punk scene in Gothenburg. "GBG Sound recorded four singles during it's existence and made over one hundred live performances.
