Ganabala is a playback singer in the Tamil film industry - Kollywood. He is best known for his song 'Aadi Pona Aavani' from the soundtrack of Attakathi. He has predominantly sang songs belonging to the gaana genre of Tamil Nadu.He has been credited for reviving the gaana genre in Tamil Cinema after 'Thenisai Thendral' Deva. He has also been a lyricist for some of his songs.

Being a law graduate, Bala was working as an advocate. He contested in the reality show 'Gana Kuyil Pattu' that featured on Kalaignar TV and won it.He has worked on a number of devotional albums and also performed live in both devotional and other events. He made his debut in the film industry with Piragu composed by Srikanth Deva, son of the 'Father of Gaana Genre' - Deva. He first found success for his song 'Aadi Pona Aavani' and 'Nadukadalula' in the sleeper hit Attakathi. Since then he has sung a number of successful songs mostly under Santhosh Narayanan and S. Thaman. He has also featured in a couple of his songs: 'Ora Kannala' in Udhayam NH4 and 'Kaasu Panam' in Soodhu Kavvum.
